Well Men | Get Screened for Cancer

Blood Test

To assess your risk for heart disease, your doctor may take a blood sample, typically from your arm. The blood contains fats, and your doctor will check the levels and types of fats present.
High triglycerides can indicate a higher risk for heart disease.

Digital Rectal Exam

To test your risk of Prostate Cancer, a doctor may do a test where they insert their finger in your rectum.
Your doctor will check for abnormalities that may indicate cancer.

Prostate-Specific Androgen Test

Another test for Prostate Cancer involves taking blood. A doctor may take blood from your arm.
The doctor will test for substances in the blood that may be present if there is cancer in the prostate.

Colonoscopy

To test for Colorectal Cancer you may have to prepare for a colonoscopy, when a doctor puts a small camera in your colon. You will not be able to eat solid foods for the day before your procedure. You will not be able to drink alcohol for 24 hours before or after the procedure.
If you’re interested in or feel you need any of these screenings, be sure to
schedule an appointment with your primary care doctor.
